Surrendering Your Rat
To start the surrender process to surrender your pet rat(s) to us, please fill out the surrender application below. Provide as much detail as possible, any incomplete portions on the application will result in your application being denied upon submission. Copy and paste the application into a new email and answer the questions there. Once completed, please email back to us at [email protected].
Please Note: Unfortunately we are not always able to immediately take in a case, our ability to take in your rat(s) depends on the current foster case load and space availability in our foster homes. Have you or members of your household played with any other vector species (friends pets/pet store) other than your own in the past 8 weeks? Have you noticed any health issues such as red staining around the eyes or nose, sneezing, wheezing/labored breathing or scratching? What type of litter/bedding are you using? What type(s) of food are your rats currently on? What supplies will the rat(s) be coming with? It helps our rescue if you can donate these items along with your rat(s) as well as any monetary donation to help with costs for food, litter/bedding, medicine, vet care and emergencies.
